A SUPERB EASTERN WOODLAND INDIAN WAR CLUB MID 1700’s

Other Than Early Battle Scars, This Rare Club Is In Exuberant Condition. Tremendous Patina.

The Iron Spike And Bond Is Original. No Repairs. There Are 3 Generations Of Tiny Worm Holes. Paint Traces Of Narrow Horizontal Lines Are Visible Across The Left Side Of The Face.

The grip is carved with another powerful head of a chief. The nose is kept flat to fit in the warrior’s hand. There is also evidence of the large semi-circular ear ornaments. Like the large head with the spike, it also depicts the distinguishing narrow hairstyle of Eastern Woodland.
